Who we are🤔

“The Spotify of logistics”. That’s how Göteborgs-Posten (local newspaper) choose to describe us. Maybe it’s because we’re now one of Gothenburg’s fastest growing tech startups. 

So, what does Sendify do? Well, we have built a smart freight booking system, which makes shipping as simple as booking a taxi with Uber or booking an apartment through Airbnb. For our customers, small-medium-businesses, shipping becomes effortless, so that they can spend less time and money on logistics and more time on growing their businesses.

Our HQ is located at Vasagatan in Gothenburg, where we are 18 employees (3 of us sit in Lviv, Ukraine). We all share the vision to empower small companies through smart logistics, and together build a creative and innovative workspace. We strive for an inspiring and including startup culture, and we are proud of our initiative Women’s Startup Club and our participation at events such as Gbg Tech Week.

Challenges you will be working on

In fact, no day is the same at a rapidly growing startup, therefore you will have a significant impact on the areas you work with. Here are some exciting challenges you will be working on:

• Build a scalable cloud service mainly in Go to support a growing amount of features and users around the world
• Create new integrations with partner services, such as E-commerce platforms, ERPs or transporter carriers
• Develop tools for internal use to help other business areas achieve success
• Help maintain and develop our internal infrastructure. Making use of best-in-class tooling to ensure our service is fast and reliable.

We believe that you 📝

• Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in web application development
• Are comfortable taking initiative and have full ownership of your own code
• Have knowledge of software design principles and patterns
• Love a challenge and to learn new things
• Write clean and simple code
• Experience in version control, preferably git
• Have experience with at least two different programming languages - ideally Go and PHP
• Are happy to work in a fast-paced and ambitious team.
• Are a team player; willing to help your team members and see the team's total output above your own.

It’s a plus if you also have 😀

• Knowledge of the Go language
• Experience in writing unit tests
• Docker / Kubernetes knowledge
• Agile development experience
• Experience in TDD (Test Driven Development)
• Experience in CI / CD
• A DevOps background
• Experience in cloud-based computing (AWS)
